We had a beautiful stay at the cabin. We chose this property because we wanted a break from the fast pace of Melbourne and it was every bit as peaceful and quiet as we had hoped for. The property, was clean and cosy and had everything you might need for a short stay. We had a spot of bad weather which meant it got a bit chilly on one evening but the wood burner in the cabin quickly warmed us up and was very easy to use. Overall, Petrina was an excellent host with plenty of communication before and during our stay. I would definitely recommend.

What a gem to chance upon Petrina’s property. The studio was a cosy getaway from the city. It had all the essential kitchen supply & we were treated with wines & chocolates at arrival. We managed to have a feast out of her kitchen. We had such a lovely stay at her beautiful studio. Plenty of bird sightings, some wallabies across the field and koalas along the way. Can’t miss this stay if you’re around Apollo Bay.

This is a MUST stay. Petrina’s property is spectacular, with an incredible atmosphere & only a short drive to the township. The studio far exceeded my expectations. It was spotlessly clean, beautifully styled, had everything we needed & felt like a retreat. The wood fire was a great added bonus. Petrina was a responsive & very helpful host. We cannot wait to return & stay again. Thank you so much for an incredible stay.

My partner and I had a wonderful stay in Petrina's studio. We loved the layout of the space, we made great use of the fireplace, enjoyed the wine she so generously provided and marveled at the views. We only wish we could have stayed longer! We'll be back soon. Petrina was really friendly and welcoming but still left us to enjoy our own tranquility. We were visited by gorgeous parrots in the morning and regretfully didn't have any seed for them. Next time! We enjoyed The Otway Fly and The Sequoia Forest. There is so much more to see in the area though and hope to return for a longer stay soon.

A beautiful place to stay to get away from it all. Located only 20 minutes from Apollo Bay but well enough away from the crowds in town. A scenic 5-6km drive on a narrow, hilly road accessible by regular 2 wheel drive vehicle. Really enjoyed the drive and scenery every time we ventured in and out of the property, and a few wallabies to be seen. Lucky enough to see a koala in a tree on a neighbouring property and the verandah was a great setting to watch the local King Parrots and Crimson Rosellas feed. Weather was not our friend. It was cold and wet but sipping a bottle of red wine provided by the host in front of a wood fired heater watching the birds on the verandah made up for the weather. We can't speak highly enough of the property and it's location. If you want to see local native animals, we think winter is a better time to visit as in the hotter months, most animals are seeking shade and are not visible until dusk.

Amazing stay!

We had a lovely time relaxing in the quiet hills of Apollo bay, not fall from the town, the studio itself was very cute and clean, with good wifi, a very comfy couch and a very cozy bed.

My partner and I are expecting a baby soon and really wanted somewhere peaceful and Tele stay didn’t disappoint. The surrounding garden was beautiful and a short walk along the road had tranquil views of the surrounding hills. The weather was perfect and the split system AC kept us very comfortable.

The kitchen was well stocked and the hot water was near instant. Our host Petrina was responded almost immediately when I had a few queries early in the morning and she was extremely helpful - my partner and I felt we were being taken care of by Petrina.

Driving up to the property we saw horses, cows and alpacas, as well as sheep who were walking along side our car.
It was a shame to leave after 3 nights but we hope to visit again in the future!

The studio is in a beautiful location surrounded by nature, the perfect place to rest and disconnect from the busy cities. The road up there is also very enjoyable, just drive slowly and it is easy.

We really loved our stay in such a peaceful and well kept little cabin! No issues at all with communicating with owner or check in, and very clear instructions provided on how to find the property as it is a little hidden away - but this adds to the charm 🙂

Beautiful apartment in a great location. Location is in the middle of nature. The city closest is a few kilometers drive (as mentioned in the description). So do your purchase in time.

This place is an absolute gem. Situated in the hills, away from the hustle and bustle of the Great Ocean Road. If you are looking for peace and quiet, closeness to nature and a special retreat, this is the place for you.

The studio is set in a garden full of flowers, fruit and vegetables, visited by curious parrots and, with a bit of luck, kangaroos and koalos may appear at the fence in the morning. The studio itself is tastefully furnished, clean and very cozy. When it gets chilly, you can lounge by the fire with a good book or enjoy the evening atmosphere with a glass of wine on the veranda.

The hosts were always there when you needed them. Very good communication and extremely helpful. It doesn't get any better than this.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Studio at Killala Post. The location is stunning—set in a peaceful and beautifully maintained garden, with birds visiting the balcony. The studio itself was immaculate, and the photos don’t quite capture just how magical the setting really is.

Petrina was a fantastic host—so warm and welcoming, bringing us fresh strawberries and squash from the garden and always quick to respond to any questions. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to relax and unwind. Highly recommend!

Only a stones throw away from the township of Apollo Bay is this absolutely stunning property with a beautifully restored studio cottage. It was so peaceful listening to so many birds sing while having a glass of wine on the patio, yet so easy to get into town for dinner. Petrina has thought of everything from the welcome wine to the tasteful touches of making your your stay comfortable. Petrina & Phil made us feel so welcome including our dog Poppy. Often dog friendly accomodation isn't that nice for the humans (or only welcome small dogs), not the case here! We will be returning for sure!

the hosts are sympathetic and extremely helpful. it is very beautiful and we could enjoy artichoke and strawberries from the garden. the 2 koala hid, but the parakeet and other birds gave the atmosphere

We had a beautiful stay and enjoyed the lovely view and the friendly birds visiting us throughout the day. We really enjoyed use of the fire in the evening and the kitchen was great and equipped well, we cooked most our meals in. There was a very gorgeous Koala that we saw multiple times during the evening on our drive back in to the property, just keep in mind the last 10 mins of driving is on a very narrow, two way gravely road so you want be a confident driver! Petrina was a lovely host and very friendly at check in. The only thing was you have to take your own rubbish with you when you check out and it can be a bit tricky to find somewhere to put it! A beautiful and quiet location and we enjoyed driving around to explore the Otway’s and the coast from this private spot 🙂

Beautiful stay, the studio was clean and tidy and Petrina was so friendly. The views of the garden and the wildlife were fantastic, the set up was cosy and warm. We were supplied with heaps of firewood and an easy to light set up. The whole place and vibe was just lovely 🙂

Petrina and Vicki were very welcoming and friendly. Their studio was cute. Quiet and peaceful. Although a bit of a drive up the hill to get too, it was not far from Apollo Bay and we enjoyed our visit.

Absolutely loved staying here, 2 nights were not enough! The place was beautiful, so clean and very well set up. The fire was a standout and made our trip. Petrina was lovely, with great communication and very helpful.

Originally the drive up was a little daunting but after the first trip it became a breeze. Would definitely recommend this place if you're comfortable driving on a bit of a windy dirt road (take it at your own pace and it's fine!). Was no hassle to get into town for dinners and a great place to base our G.O.R travels.

We were always so excited to come back in the evening to the beautiful house and toasty fire. Will be coming back in the future!

We stayed in the studio for a couple of nights and it was a really beautiful setup. It’s peaceful and the surrounds are full of bird life. The trek up the mountain on a windy dirt road added to the charm of the whole experience. Attention to detail by the hosts is noteworthy. Highly recommended. One of the most memorable Airbnbs we stayed at.

The studio was exactly as described with a lovely wood fire to keep you warm. Has a full kitchen and everything you need to cook a meal. would definitely recommend Petrinas place to anyone wanting a getaway.

My partner and I had a great time. The tranquility and peacefulness was exactly what we were looking for to relax. The house is lovely and cosy, and yet quite spacious for its size. Its great to disconnect from the world. Its close to town, but far enough away to hardly hear a car.

There's no TV which was great, we brought board games and cards and books to occupy ourselves. The garden is lovely as well, and the hosts are great to talk to.

The bottle of wine and some chocolates that were there on arrival were a delightful little surprise to welcome us.

Definitely plan to come back some time hopefully for longer.

Our stay here couldn’t of been better. The location is perfect only 15minutes from town. Clean and free of any clutter and a cosy couple getaway. Complementary wine and chocolates added a perfect touch. Would highly recommend staying here.

Staying at Killala Lodge was a beautiful city-escape in the hilly hinterlands of Apollo Bay. We instantly arrived in our holiday and relaxed in the cute, light and sun filled cottage amidst the lush, green lawns and hills, surrounded by beautiful flowers, tress and wildlife. We highly recommend this cute cottage for a cosy weekend away.

The road up was a bit nerve racking being a single track. Views amazing. Accommodation cosy, warmly and pleasant. Bird life just wonderful.

Petrina and her husband are fantastic hosts. Passionate about their property and easy to chat with. They were always cheery in passing and made you feel at home in their studio. Petrina provided excellent directions to the property. The studio itself was spotless and well laid out. If you are worried about the composting toilet, don't. You would never know it wasn't a regular toilet. The fireplace in the studio is fantastic, and the hosts had set for a fire already, and included firewood outside, including several small bundles of twigs and kindling tied with a twine as a really nice touch. While there is no TV, we had our own portable projector that we were able to project onto the slanted roof for a movie night and a fire to stay warm. This is an Airbnb you will not regret.

Exactly what we were looking for. It was a cold time of year but there was plenty of firewood and the space stayed lovely and warm.

The newly built cabin for two is super secluded and quiet and surrounded by beautiful, private grounds.
Take books/ a tablet/ games if you plan to stay in. The rainforests in the surrounding areas in particular are spectacular.

What an incredibly special and magical place to stay! Valley views, peaceful nature, fruit trees in the yard-the serenity and peace here are medicine for the soul if you’re looking to unplug and get away from it all!

We had a wonderful stay in Petrina's vacation accommodation. Everything was taken care of, the furnishings extremely tasteful, the garden around the cottage a little paradise. At night the stars came very close, during the day we experienced a rich bird life. The kitchen was new and fully equipped, we could sit on a small terrace and relax wonderfully with great impressions of nature. One evening we even found a koala bear sitting in the tree. The hosts were extremely nice.
