Book the Studio

Wonderful!

This was such an amazing, special stay! Petrina was very communicative and made us feel very welcome, and the location was one to remember. Highly recommend!

Petrina was very warm and responsive right from when we booked the property. The location is beautiful and gave us exactly what we were looking for. We are sure to go back another time

Had a lovely weekend at Petrina's place. Very peaceful with beautiful surroundings. Petrina was lovely and the studio was very cozy. We will be back!

Amazing getaway! The photos don't do this place justice! I'm not sure who had a better time here; my partner and I or our little fur baby! It truly is tucked away in your own slice of mountain-esque paradise but still... close enough to explore the Otways and further along the Great Ocean Rd. Petrina was amazing! Super accommodating and friendly and had so many good recommendations for the area. We're keen to come back and explore all of the waterfalls!

Very relaxing place to stay. Love the garden!

Great property, stunning location, seamless stay. 10/10 would recommend.

Had a lovely stay! Beautiful location so peaceful.

A wonderfully secluded property on the ridge with gorgeous gardens and views, and cute cosy cottage to stay in.Only 20 minutes from Apollo Bay and the beach .

We really enjoyed our stay at this property! Very peaceful and relaxing. The fire place was so warm and toasty! Very beautiful property and Petrina was very welcoming. Would stay here again.

Great stay at Petrina’s place. We’re really enjoyed the long weekend with this beauty studio with a nice fireplace and fully equipped kitchen. We definitely gonna come back one day. Thank you Petrina for your help and suggestions.

Very nice and welcoming studio in the mountains

Very beautiful place! The drive is very scenic and there are lots of farm animals in the area 🙂 Petrina was very friendly and helpful too

Such a beautiful studio and location - we had a great time! Petrina was really friendly and the accommodation was even more gorgeous in real life, situated on a beautiful property. We loved our stay here

Had a lovely weekend escape here. The studio and gardens were beautiful and it was really peaceful being away in the hills. Wifi can be patchy so make sure you bring a good book to enjoy while you have a glass of the lovely bottle of wine provided. Everything was as described and our dog loved coming along on holiday with us. Hosts were amazing and made us feel welcome. 5⭐️

We had a lovely stay. The place has everything you need set in beautiful surroundings. Petrina provides clear details with everything you need to know before your stay.

We had a beautiful stay at the cabin. We chose this property because we wanted a break from the fast pace of Melbourne and it was every bit as peaceful and quiet as we had hoped for. The property, was clean and cosy and had everything you might need for a short stay. We had a spot of bad weather which meant it got a bit chilly on one evening but the wood burner in the cabin quickly warmed us up and was very easy to use. Overall, Petrina was an excellent host with plenty of communication before and during our stay. I would definitely recommend.

Beautiful place for a short getaway, comfortable and cosy with everything you need

I loved my stay here! The studio was very clean and cosy, and the gardens and orchard were beautiful! 😍 Petrina was a wonderful host. Her responses to any questions I had were timely, friendly, and very helpful. She generously included a bottle of wine, and also gave me some fresh strawberries and tomatoes from her garden! Thanks Petrina!

Beautiful place nice people and only 15 minutes away from the town. We got country vibes and the beach with this stay.

All fantastic! Thanks Petrina 😊

Beautiful location, house and stay. Thank you

Great stay, highly recommend. Will definitely try stay again!

Relaxing atmosphere, clean and comfortable cottage. We enjoyed our stay

Petrina was a gracious host The cabin in the rural setting was quiet and peaceful with beautiful surroundings.

What a gem to chance upon Petrina’s property. The studio was a cosy getaway from the city. It had all the essential kitchen supply & we were treated with wines & chocolates at arrival. We managed to have a feast out of her kitchen. We had such a lovely stay at her beautiful studio. Plenty of bird sightings, some wallabies across the field and koalas along the way. Can’t miss this stay if you’re around Apollo Bay.

A beautiful property set in stunning surroundings. The scenic drive to get there was a highlight in itself and the peaceful location made for a very relaxing stay. The studio was lovely and well presented and the hosts were incredibly friendly and accommodating. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would happily stay again!

Beautiful property. you can see how much love they pour into making it feel like a home.

I stayed here with mum, we had the most gorgeous time. The views on the way up and at the accommodation were breathtaking! We felt right at home. The perfect location if you are wanting to discover and travel around the Otways, Apollo bay and everything else this beautiful corner of the world has to offer 🙂 will be 100% returning! Thankyou 🙂

Tranquil and relaxing cabin and location. Lovely garden, beautiful birds and a spectacular location. A perfect getaway and the studio cabin has been thoughtfully modernised and decorated. Comfortable and cosy. We loved it.

We stayed for two nights and had such a lovely, relaxing time. The place was clean, peaceful, and surrounded by beautiful nature, perfect for a quiet getaway. Petrina was a great host, very kind and easy to communicate with. We would 100% recommend it to anyone looking for quality time in a beautiful setting! Thank you again!!

Petrina’s place was amazing and we had the most magical time staying there over the weekend. Serene, beautiful and incredibly relaxing - do yourself a favour and stay here!
The studio is wonderfully cosy and beautifully furnished, the bed was so comfy and the fire was to die for after a day out sight seeing.
The gardens and views were spectacular, and Petrina and Phil were the best hosts - thank you again for the wine!
We loved our time here and would love to come back.

A sanctuary not far from Melbourne - thank you so much for having us stay in your beautiful space. We hope to return!

This is a MUST stay. Petrina’s property is spectacular, with an incredible atmosphere & only a short drive to the township. The studio far exceeded my expectations. It was spotlessly clean, beautifully styled, had everything we needed & felt like a retreat. The wood fire was a great added bonus. Petrina was a responsive & very helpful host. We cannot wait to return & stay again. Thank you so much for an incredible stay.

My partner and I had a wonderful stay in Petrina's studio. We loved the layout of the space, we made great use of the fireplace, enjoyed the wine she so generously provided and marveled at the views. We only wish we could have stayed longer! We'll be back soon. Petrina was really friendly and welcoming but still left us to enjoy our own tranquility. We were visited by gorgeous parrots in the morning and regretfully didn't have any seed for them. Next time! We enjoyed The Otway Fly and The Sequoia Forest. There is so much more to see in the area though and hope to return for a longer stay soon.

A beautiful place to stay to get away from it all. Located only 20 minutes from Apollo Bay but well enough away from the crowds in town. A scenic 5-6km drive on a narrow, hilly road accessible by regular 2 wheel drive vehicle. Really enjoyed the drive and scenery every time we ventured in and out of the property, and a few wallabies to be seen. Lucky enough to see a koala in a tree on a neighbouring property and the verandah was a great setting to watch the local King Parrots and Crimson Rosellas feed. Weather was not our friend. It was cold and wet but sipping a bottle of red wine provided by the host in front of a wood fired heater watching the birds on the verandah made up for the weather. We can't speak highly enough of the property and it's location. If you want to see local native animals, we think winter is a better time to visit as in the hotter months, most animals are seeking shade and are not visible until dusk.

Amazing property and hosts we’d love to come back!

Very clean, homely vibe, nice garden to explore.

One of the best places to stay if you want someplace cosy and isolated. The space was well furnished and spacious for two people. Beautiful location out in the Otways with great views and a great host

Amazing stay!

We had a lovely time relaxing in the quiet hills of Apollo bay, not fall from the town, the studio itself was very cute and clean, with good wifi, a very comfy couch and a very cozy bed.

My partner and I are expecting a baby soon and really wanted somewhere peaceful and Tele stay didn’t disappoint. The surrounding garden was beautiful and a short walk along the road had tranquil views of the surrounding hills. The weather was perfect and the split system AC kept us very comfortable.

The kitchen was well stocked and the hot water was near instant. Our host Petrina was responded almost immediately when I had a few queries early in the morning and she was extremely helpful - my partner and I felt we were being taken care of by Petrina.

Driving up to the property we saw horses, cows and alpacas, as well as sheep who were walking along side our car.
It was a shame to leave after 3 nights but we hope to visit again in the future!

Enjoyed our stay. Beautiful location and great amenities. Place was clean and tidy! Thank you ❤️

Wonderful stay! The place was spotless, cosy and as described. Petrina was friendly, responsive and made everything easy. Highly recommend!

Thank you for the lovely stay! The cabin was cozy and the surroundings were peaceful, perfect for anyone looking for a getaway without straying too far away from the main town.

Petrina was a wonderful host, greeting us upon arrival and was even welcoming of us having guests over for dinner.

The place was clean, kitchen well stocked with everything we needed and the fireplace really added to the cozy atmosphere. Would definitely love to come back and stay again!

Thank you for the lovely stay. Very relaxing, on such a beautiful property. Look forward to returning.

We had a fantastic time in this cabin near Apollo Bay. Beautifully decorated with everything you need. Was a relaxing and tranquil stay.

Lovely private place to stay. Cozy and well-appointed. Hosts were great and we loved the complimentary bottle of wine!

It is a beautiful place far away all kinds of noise and pollution that normally surrounds us. Best place to reconnect with yourself. It was clean and cozy with all necessary item for cooking. Petrina is lovely woman that with her kindness, you feel that you are at home.

The studio is in a beautiful location surrounded by nature, the perfect place to rest and disconnect from the busy cities. The road up there is also very enjoyable, just drive slowly and it is easy.
We felt at home and would recommend to anyone that enjoys nature.

Such a beautiful property and cozy studio. We absolutely loved our stay 🥰

Mooi appartement op geweldige lokatie. Lokatie ligt midden in de natuur. De stad het dichtstbij is een paar kilometers rijden (zoals vermeld in de beschrijving). Doe dus bijtijds je inkopen.
Appartement is comfortabel. Wij waren er blij mee.

We really loved our stay in such a peaceful and well kept little cabin! No issues at all with communicating with owner or check in, and very clear instructions provided on how to find the property as it is a little hidden away - but this adds to the charm 🙂

Beautiful apartment in a great location. Location is in the middle of nature. The city closest is a few kilometers drive (as mentioned in the description). So do your purchase in time.
Apartment is comfortable. We were happy with it.

Splendid!

This place is an absolute gem. Situated in the hills, away from the hustle and bustle of the Great Ocean Road. If you are looking for peace and quiet, closeness to nature and a special retreat, this is the place for you.

The studio is set in a garden full of flowers, fruit and vegetables, visited by curious parrots and, with a bit of luck, kangaroos and koalos may appear at the fence in the morning. The studio itself is tastefully furnished, clean and very cozy. When it gets chilly, you can lounge by the fire with a good book or enjoy the evening atmosphere with a glass of wine on the veranda.

The hosts were always there when you needed them. Very good communication and extremely helpful. It doesn't get any better than this.

stunning mountain area, photos make the room look smaller than it actually is, very spacious for a studio but still a cute little nook where the bed is
Petrina was very accommodating and made it super clear of how to find and enter the property even though we arrived when it was very dark
loved the the wine and chocolates left for us too

A beautiful little cottage to retreat to nature! Gorgeous aesthetic touches, lush gardens with wild flowers & just a tranquil place to escape to ❤️ The studio is in really good shape, with a lovely shower and bedding - highly recommend! Thanks Petrina!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Studio at Killala Post. The location is stunning—set in a peaceful and beautifully maintained garden, with birds visiting the balcony. The studio itself was immaculate, and the photos don’t quite capture just how magical the setting really is.

Petrina was a fantastic host—so warm and welcoming, bringing us fresh strawberries and squash from the garden and always quick to respond to any questions. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to relax and unwind. Highly recommend!

Second time back at this gorgeous spot. Love the lil cabin and surrounding mountains, wildlife and trees 😍
Thanks for a great stay Petrina!

very beautiful setting and relaxing stay
a little far out of town, but tranquil/secluded area and good cooking utensils for making own meals
thank you

Only a stones throw away from the township of Apollo Bay is this absolutely stunning property with a beautifully restored studio cottage. It was so peaceful listening to so many birds sing while having a glass of wine on the patio, yet so easy to get into town for dinner. Petrina has thought of everything from the welcome wine to the tasteful touches of making your your stay comfortable. Petrina & Phil made us feel so welcome including our dog Poppy. Often dog friendly accomodation isn't that nice for the humans (or only welcome small dogs), not the case here! We will be returning for sure!

Thank you,
Poppy, David & Sue

The hills behind Apollo Bay is where you will find this unique property approximately fifteen minutes by car from the centre of town. Get the best of both worlds, close proximity to town and beach with the stunning appeal of the secluded Otways. Relax, unwind, walk, ride, wild life, take it all in.

Beautiful and well kept property in a secluded location just out of town.

Beautiful spot nice and relaxing

unique experience with mountain location and beautiful decor and welcome.
the hosts are sympathetic and extremely helpful. it is very beautiful and we could enjoy artichoke and strawberries from the garden. the 2 koala hid, but the parakeet and other birds gave the atmosphere

Incredible stay. The hosts were super pro-active to share instructions as well as visual instructions which really helped.

The place was spotless and had everything you could need & want. Beautiful, peaceful and easy to get into Apollo Bay.

We had a beautiful stay and enjoyed the lovely view and the friendly birds visiting us throughout the day. We really enjoyed use of the fire in the evening and the kitchen was great and equipped well, we cooked most our meals in. There was a very gorgeous Koala that we saw multiple times during the evening on our drive back in to the property, just keep in mind the last 10 mins of driving is on a very narrow, two way gravely road so you want be a confident driver! Petrina was a lovely host and very friendly at check in. The only thing was you have to take your own rubbish with you when you check out and it can be a bit tricky to find somewhere to put it! A beautiful and quiet location and we enjoyed driving around to explore the Otway’s and the coast from this private spot 🙂

Es un maravilloso lugar para descansar, conectar con la naturaleza y relajarte. Nos encantó

If you are looking for a peaceful retreat to unwind and connect with nature, this is the perfect spot. The location is breathtaking, surrounded by lush forests and stunning scenery. The studio itself was cozy and we loved spending evenings by the fireplace.
We can’t wait to return!

We had a lovely time here. Very relaxing and easy stay. Would definitely stay again.
Thanks Petrina for being such a great host.

Beautiful stay, the studio was clean and tidy and Petrina was so friendly. The views of the garden and the wildlife were fantastic, the set up was cosy and warm. We were supplied with heaps of firewood and an easy to light set up. The whole place and vibe was just lovely 🙂

Petrina and Vicki were very welcoming and friendly. Their studio was cute. Quiet and peaceful. Although a bit of a drive up the hill to get too, it was not far from Apollo Bay and we enjoyed our visit.

If you want privacy and the feeling of getting away from it all, this is the place for you.

Wonderful stay. Lovely little getaway spot nestled in the hills of Apollo bay.

Great little cabin. Clean and well equipped. The location is stunning and views breathtaking. Thanks for a lovely stay!

beautiful property and location is amazing! views for days and little touches like a bottle of wine and essentials for cooking is always appreciated 🙂 thanks for a lovely, relaxing stay - we will be back!

A beautiful little studio in beautiful gardens!

We had a lovely and peaceful stay here - Petrina was very friendly and helpful. Beautiful and serene property perfect for a weekend getaway!

We had a lovely stay at Petrina’s place.

Absolutely loved staying here, 2 nights were not enough! The place was beautiful, so clean and very well set up. The fire was a standout and made our trip. Petrina was lovely, with great communication and very helpful.

Originally the drive up was a little daunting but after the first trip it became a breeze. Would definitely recommend this place if you're comfortable driving on a bit of a windy dirt road (take it at your own pace and it's fine!). Was no hassle to get into town for dinners and a great place to base our G.O.R travels.

We were always so excited to come back in the evening to the beautiful house and toasty fire. Will be coming back in the future!

Breathtaking location and lovely gardens. I loved my stay!

Pertrina studio was beautiful, peaceful and relaxing. Great place to relax and get away from the hustle and bustle. Stunning gardens warm fire and cosy cabin. Thanks for everything, definitely stay again.

We stayed in the studio for a couple of nights and it was a really beautiful setup. It’s peaceful and the surrounds are full of bird life. The trek up the mountain on a windy dirt road added to the charm of the whole experience. Attention to detail by the hosts is noteworthy. Highly recommended. One of the most memorable Airbnbs we stayed at.

Amazing location. Ridiculously beautiful scenery. You won’t believe how good the views are.

My friend and I had a great weekend getaway at Petrina’s. She was a very welcoming host and the place was in a very tranquil location.

Lovely little place surrounded by gardens and bird life, way off the beaten path. A lovely hideaway only 15 mins from town.

Recently stayed with my partner and pup at the gorgeous studio. Very private and in a beautiful location about 20 minutes out of Apollo Bay. The studio was exactly as described with a lovely wood fire to keep you warm. Has a full kitchen and everything you need to cook a meal. would definitely recommend Petrinas place to anyone wanting a getaway.

Lovely accommodation up in the mountains, beautiful gardens. Well equiped kitchen and quality bedding and very comfy bed. Such a cosy place with the fire on.

Excellent location. Very peaceful

Petrina's studio was set in extensive, beautiful gardens which attracted local wildlife. We were well looked after - Petrina even gave us vegetables from her vegetable garden. We had a very relaxing, short break.

Petrina and Vicki’s place was an absolute dream. Peaceful, cozy and perfect for a lovely getaway. The studio was clean, so cute and had everything we needed. We had the pleasure to meet Vicki, who was warm, welcoming and really friendly. We would definitely come back!

Absolutely gorgeous location, beautiful studio accommodation, loved it, lovely host, can't wait to stay again.

Gorgeous and peaceful accomodation. Petrina was super lovely and offered assistance as well as greeted us on arrival.
Fantastic place to unwind.

We had a wonderful time in the cottage. The photos don’t do it justice. The drive up (ideally during daylight on the gravel rd) and the surrounds were beautiful and very peaceful and relaxing. Birdlife galore.
Plan your days as out of town.
Good internet

My partner and I had a great time. The tranquility and peacefulness was exactly what we were looking for to relax. The house is lovely and cosy, and yet quite spacious for its size. Its great to disconnect from the world. Its close to town, but far enough away to hardly hear a car.

There's no TV which was great, we brought board games and cards and books to occupy ourselves. The garden is lovely as well, and the hosts are great to talk to.

The bottle of wine and some chocolates that were there on arrival were a delightful little surprise to welcome us.

Definitely plan to come back some time hopefully for longer.

The studio is spacious, clean & modern with a nice kitchen& bathroom. It is a perfect nature getaway spot with stunning views! Hosts are very welcoming and helpful. Would definitely reccomend and happily return 🙂

Good stay! Worth the trip

Our stay here couldn’t of been better. The location is perfect only 15minutes from town. Clean and free of any clutter and a cosy couple getaway. Complementary wine and chocolates added a perfect touch. Would highly recommend staying here.

Petrina was very helpful with directions even though it was raining when we arrived she was very welcoming and easy to talk to, the place was very cosy and everything worked great!

Staying at Killala Lodge was a beautiful city-escape in the hilly hinterlands of Apollo Bay. We instantly arrived in our holiday and relaxed in the cute, light and sun filled cottage amidst the lush, green lawns and hills, surrounded by beautiful flowers, tress and wildlife. We highly recommend this cute cottage for a cosy weekend away.

The road up was a bit nerve racking being a single track. Views amazing. Accommodation cosy, warmly and pleasant. Bird life just wonderful.

Had a great stay! Petrina and her husband met us at the cottage even though we arrived well after check in time to ensure we had everything we needed. Overall was a great stay and loved the surrounding nature! About a 15-20 min drive to Apollo Bay but we didn’t mind the beautiful drive !

We had a lovely time staying at Petrina’s cabin. It was a great spot to stay while exploring the area.

The studio was lovely and relaxed. Beautiful setting.

This was the ultimate cosy getaway! One of our favourite places we’ve stayed in. So comfortable and beautiful surroundings. Everything was easy!

Charming cottage in the most beautiful of locations. The space was inviting, cozy, and had everything you needed for a quiet and self-contained time away. Really appreciated the special touches like wine and chocolates on arrival, the incredibly comfortable bed, and the short walk to get into the National Park. Highly recommend!

Thanks Petrina,
Your cottage was just what we needed.
Beautiful area, peaceful and quiet.
A lovely way to recharge.
Cheers
Rick and Nicole

Perfect mini vacay spot! So relaxing and quiet.
Just as beautiful as the pictures! Petrina was so helpful with instructions prior to my stay. Will definitely be back!

Petrina and her husband are fantastic hosts. Passionate about their property and easy to chat with. They were always cheery in passing and made you feel at home in their studio. Petrina provided excellent directions to the property. The studio itself was spotless and well laid out. If you are worried about the composting toilet, don't. You would never know it wasn't a regular toilet. The fireplace in the studio is fantastic, and the hosts had set for a fire already, and included firewood outside, including several small bundles of twigs and kindling tied with a twine as a really nice touch. While there is no TV, we had our own portable projector that we were able to project onto the slanted roof for a movie night and a fire to stay warm. This is an Airbnb you will not regret.

Petrina is an amazing host. She was always friendly and helpful. Highly recommended

Exactly what we were looking for. It was a cold time of year but there was plenty of firewood and the space stayed lovely and warm.

The newly built cabin for two is super secluded and quiet and surrounded by beautiful, private grounds.
Take books/ a tablet/ games if you plan to stay in. The rainforests in the surrounding areas in particular are spectacular.

What an incredibly special and magical place to stay! Valley views, peaceful nature, fruit trees in the yard-the serenity and peace here are medicine for the soul if you’re looking to unplug and get away from it all!

Petrine was so welcoming and made me feel immediately at home! Her place was spotless and super cozy. I only wish I could’ve stayed longer!

We loved our little cottage get away. The host communicated very well and explained exactly how to get to the accomodation, as it wasn’t exactly easy to find. We had a lovely weekend

A lovely, private cabin with beautiful views and stunning mountaintop scenery. Would recommend this stay to anyone looking to head down the Great Ocean Road!

Great accommodation. Peaceful & quiet. We loved the open plan space.
Very clean ammenities were as described. The fireplace kept us warm on our second night.
Great views to the valley were amazing especially in the early morning.
Petrina was an amazing host. Very welcoming, proactive & extremely helpful.
Highly recommended. Would definitely consider coming back.
